PF Olsen FSC Group Scheme - FSC Certified Forest Management

PF Olsen manage a substantial area of productive plantation under their FSC Certified Group Scheme. The estate comprises forest blocks ranging from a few hectares to thousands of hectares. Geographically, the FSC Certified forests are located predominantly in the Central North Island of New Zealand but are as widely distributed as Marlborough in the North of the South Island Southland, the Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and south of Auckland in the North Island. Today, many customers supplied from these forests are specifying FSC certified logs.

• PF Olsen's FSC Certificate Registration Number is SW_FM/COC-190.

As part of its commitment to public disclosure of information relating to the estate it manages, the following information is provided, summarising the extent of the Company's Certified Activities. The summaries cover major descriptive or environmental performance aspects monitored as part of our FSC management programme and are reported and updated at least annually. Each reported aspect is presented as a downloadable PDF file or a link to other files.

As at 5th January 2009 PF Olsen has also been appointed as manager of the Crown owned forest estates of the West Coast of the South Island. These forests were already FSC certified. These forests will continue to be managed under their existing certificate SGS-FM/COC-0763 at least until the end of the current certificate period on the 24th July 2011.
